Local business advertising: leads per location, not clicks
Adrails gives marketers and agencies running ads for law firms, dentists, home services, restaurants and gyms one workspace where every location's accounts are read as leads and cost per lead rather than clicks. Templates repeat a working campaign across locations, automations flag the account whose cost per lead crossed its line, and each business gets its own report link.

The lead that matters, the figure to watch and the workflow
A click costs the same whether it books a job or not. Each vertical has one conversion worth paying for, and the workflow starts from it.
| Vertical | Conversion that matters | Figure to watch | Search CPL, LocaliQ 2026 | Adrails workflow |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Law firms | A consultation booked by call or form | Cost per qualified lead, by practice area | $131.63 | A Leads campaign per office; form and call leads sent from your server; a CPA alert per account |
| Dental practices | A new-patient appointment | Cost per booked appointment | $72.97 | One template per offer, applied to each practice; a weekly client report per practice |
| Home services | A quote request or a scheduled estimate | Cost per booked job, by service | $90.92 | A threshold automation on cost per result over 7 days; a stop-loss on what spends without a lead |
| Restaurants | A reservation or an online order | Cost per reservation and spend per location | $30.57 | A daily summary per location group; pauses of ads that spend without a result |
| Gyms | A trial visit or a membership sign-up | Cost per sign-up and the share that becomes members | $44.26 | Sign-up events forwarded to Meta and Google Ads; Compare the offers across clubs |

Local business advertising pays for leads, so read it in leads
Local business advertising is bought in clicks and judged in booked jobs, appointments and reservations. Google Ads for local business reports clicks and the conversions its tag counted; Facebook ads for local business report the leads from forms the platform hosted. Neither knows about the call that booked the job or the form that went nowhere, so the figure a multi-location marketer needs, cost per lead per location, has to be assembled.
Adrails assembles it. Each location's ad account is read as results and cost per result over the period you choose, side by side in Campaigns and Analysis, with a Leads campaign's results read as leads. In LocaliQ's 2026 search benchmarks, cost per lead runs from $30.57 for restaurants to $131.63 for attorneys; on Facebook's leads objective the same report puts the average at $27.39 and dentists at $61.56. One blended figure across verticals says nothing.
The vertical sets the lead, not the platform. Law firm PPC on Google and Facebook ads for lawyers end in the same consultation form; Facebook ads for dentists sell an appointment; roofing Facebook ads and Facebook ads for contractors sell a quote; Facebook ads for restaurants sell a table. Adrails reads each as a result with a cost, per account, and lets you compare across them.
- One workspace, accounts grouped by location, client or region
- Leads and cost per lead per account, over any period
- Meta Ads and, once your workspace can connect it, Google Ads
02
Record calls and forms as leads, then send them back to the platforms
Put the Adrails script on the business's site and it credits each visit to the campaign and ad that brought it, for 90 days. When the form is submitted, or the phone system logs a booked call, your server sends a lead event signed with the server key. Adrails records it against the visit, forwards it to Meta's Conversions API as Lead and to the Google Ads conversion action you chose, and sends the event id so Meta can match it with the pixel's event and count it once.
Signed events are the only ones that reach the platforms; what the page script sends stays in Adrails. A value limit and a daily limit per platform hold back a leaked key or a broken integration, and Settings > Tracking shows what was sent, what waits and what was refused over the last 30 days.
For a Leads campaign, cost per result is cost per lead. Set a CPA alert per account at the figure that business can pay: it is checked every hour over today, the last 7 days or the last 30 days, and fires at most once a day for each campaign that crosses the line, to Slack, Discord or email.
03
One template, every location
Save the campaign, ad set and ad settings of the location that works as a template, then apply it to the next practice or branch. Fields tied to one account, the pixel, the Page, media and audiences, are left out, and a name, dates and status are never copied, so the template carries the structure and not the leftovers of the first account.
Every campaign is created paused, after the platform has checked it, so twelve new locations can be prepared on a Monday and switched on as each office confirms its hours and offer. Edits to a live campaign are sent as you save them; only the new ad sets and ads under it are created.
Compare puts two to four locations' campaigns side by side, names the one that leads on cost per result and says whether the gap is reliable: 95% confidence, at least 10 conversions each. The settings that differ, budget, bidding, targeting, placements and creative, are listed, so the offer or the radius that wins is visible rather than guessed.
- Templates per channel and level, owned by the workspace
- Account-tied fields left out: pixel, Page, media, audiences
- Created paused, switched on per location
04
A report link per business, sent on a schedule
Each business gets a read-only report over the accounts you tick: spend, results, cost per result and ROAS per currency, the best and weakest campaigns and creatives, and the changes applied from Adrails over the period. The link opens for 30 days, 90 days or until you revoke it, covers at most 92 days, and the owner needs no Adrails account.
The Weekly client report automation emails the link each week, built from the accounts you choose, with an agent's read of what changed if you add that step. Revoke a link from the list under Automations when a client leaves; anyone who kept it reads that the report is not available.
Owners and administrators apply changes; every member can ask the agent and read every page. The Activity tab keeps who applied a pause or a budget change, and Adrails measures what happened 24 hours, 3 days and 7 days after.

FAQ
Common questions
Can I set a different cost per lead limit for each location?
Yes. Each threshold automation is filled with the accounts you choose and its own value, checked every hour; a workspace runs up to five threshold automations at once, so a scheduled automation with a Filter step covers the long tail of locations every morning.
Does Adrails count phone calls as leads?
It records what your server sends. A call your phone system logs can be sent as a lead event with the visitor id, and Adrails credits it to the campaign and forwards it to Meta and Google Ads when it is signed with the server key.
How many ad accounts can a local agency connect?
Plans start at $149 a month with unlimited ad accounts, grouped by client, location or region. Grouping changes nothing on Meta or Google Ads.
Can a franchise owner see only their location's report?
Yes. A client report covers only the accounts you tick, over at most 92 days, anyone with the link reads it without an Adrails account, and you revoke it at any time from Automations.
