Campaigns
Read campaigns, ad sets and ads in one table, open a campaign's detail, and create or edit them with the editor, drafts and templates.
Campaigns shows every campaign, ad set and ad of the accounts you select, with their figures, and lets you change them.
The table
Open Campaigns in the sidebar.
- Accounts. Pick one account or several. Meta and Google Ads accounts can be mixed.
- Channel. All channels, Meta Ads or Google Ads.
- Period. A preset such as Last 7 days or This month, or a custom range. The default is the 30 days up to the latest sync.
- Tabs. Campaigns, Ad sets (called Ad groups on Google, Asset groups on Performance Max), Ads and Rules.
Above the table, four figures sum up the selection: Ad spend, Revenue, ROAS and Avg. CPM. When the accounts use different currencies, the figures say which currency they are reported in.
Columns and filters
Choose columns with the column picker: key metrics, tracking, ad settings, audience, ad content, review status and rankings. Reset this view goes back to the default columns. Your choice is kept in this browser.
Filter rows by name, status (Active, Paused, Draft, Ended), spend, review status and format.
Sync
Adrails reads your accounts on a schedule. To read one again now, select a single account and choose Sync account. If the platform asks Adrails to slow down, the button says Waiting for the platform and continues on its own.
Act on rows
Select rows to Compare them, Archive them (synced Meta items only) or Delete them. Each row's menu offers Edit, Duplicate, Split test where the row can be tested, and Delete.
A campaign's detail
Open a row to see its detail. The header has Compare with…, Split test (on an ad set or ad that can be tested), Duplicate, Edit, Archive and Delete, and a link to the item in Ads Manager or Google Ads. The side panel shows its settings and targeting, with a switch to turn it on or off.
A campaign's detail has these tabs:
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Spend, results, ROAS, revenue, impressions, CPM, CTR, CPC and frequency, with a chart and the performance of each ad set. |
| To fix | Shown when something stops the campaign from going to the platform. Each item has a Fix this button. Nothing is sent until they are gone. |
| Ad sets / Ad groups | The ad sets or ad groups under it. |
| Ads | The ads under it. |
| Activity | What was done from Adrails, by whom, with its status. See Approvals and undo. |
| Tracking | Customers matched to each ad and what they are worth, from your store or billing data. See below. |
The Tracking tab
The Tracking tab shows which ads brought real customers, and what those customers are worth in your revenue source: Matched customers, Lifetime spend or Monthly revenue, Average customer value, and Repeat customers or Active subscriptions. It lists customer value by ad and the latest attributed customers.
It needs Shopify, Stripe or RevenueCat connected, and visits that carry the campaign and ad ids. Campaigns created by Adrails add these URL parameters to their ads automatically. For the rest, set up tracking on your site.
Meta and Google Ads remain the source of their own conversions and ROAS. Customer matching counts only journeys Adrails can identify.
Create or edit with the editor
Choose Create campaign above the table, or Edit on a row.
- Meta: objectives Sales, Leads, Traffic, Engagement, Awareness and App promotion. Single image or video, or a carousel, or an existing post. The website destination can be published.
- Google Ads: Search, Performance Max, Display, Demand Gen and Shopping campaigns. Shopping needs a linked Merchant Center account. Video campaigns can be read and edited, not created.
Upload images and videos in the editor itself. For Google, you can also give a picture address or a YouTube link.
Publish
Choose Create on Meta or Create on Google Ads. Adrails first asks the platform to check the campaign without creating it (Checking with Meta), then sends it. Everything is created paused, so nothing spends until you switch it on.
On a campaign already live, edits you save are sent to the platform, and only the new ad sets and ads under it are created. A campaign is never created twice.
Drafts
What you build is saved as a draft in the workspace until it is published. A campaign, its ad sets and its ads must belong to the same ad account.
Templates
Save the settings of a campaign, ad set or ad as a template with Save as template, then Apply it to another one. Templates belong to the workspace, per channel and level. Fields tied to one account, such as the pixel, the Page, media and audiences, are left out of a template. A name, dates and status are never copied from a template.
Watch for
- Creating, editing, archiving, deleting and switching on or off are applied when you confirm them, by an owner or administrator. They are not proposals.
- On Preview, publishing is locked: Campaign publishing is locked in Preview. Choose a plan to publish.
- A sync reads one account at a time.
- Column choices live in your browser, not in the workspace.
