Meta Ads

Connect your Meta ad accounts, what Adrails reads and writes with the access you grant, and how to remove it.

Meta Ads is where Adrails reads your spend and results, and where it publishes what you approve: new campaigns, pauses, budget changes, split tests.

Connect

  1. Open Ad accounts and choose Add account, then Facebook.
  2. Sign in with the Facebook profile that can access your Business Portfolio.
  3. Approve the Pages, ad accounts, pixels and catalogs you want Adrails to read.
  4. Back in Adrails, switch on the ad accounts you want to work with in the In use column.

Meta handles sign-in, so Adrails never receives your password. Nothing is published or changed during setup.

You can connect several Facebook profiles. Profiles are never a billing unit.

What Adrails asks for

PermissionWhy
ads_readRead ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets, ads and their results.
ads_managementApply what you approve: create, pause, resume, change budgets.
pages_show_list, pages_read_engagementAn ad must name the Page it runs from. Without these, Adrails cannot see your Pages or create an ad.
business_managementRead the business portfolios your accounts belong to. A Meta split test needs one.

What it is used for

  • Campaigns, Creatives, Analysis and Home read the synced figures.
  • The agent reads the same data and proposes changes, applied only after approval.
  • Tracking can send your server's conversions to a Meta dataset through the Conversions API.

Stop using an account, or remove a profile

  • To stop using one ad account, switch it off in In use. It leaves every other screen but stays on Ad accounts, where you can switch it back on.
  • To remove a Facebook profile, use the delete button on its connection and confirm Remove profile. Its ad accounts leave every screen and stop syncing, and the stored access token is erased. The history already synced is kept.

You can also revoke Adrails' access from your Facebook settings at any time.

Watch for

  • If a change is refused for a missing permission, reconnect Meta from Ad accounts so it asks again for ads_management.
  • Removing a profile cannot be undone from Adrails: connect it again to read its accounts.
