Knowledge and skills

Teach the agent your methods with skills, save requests you send often as shortcuts, and set up specialist agents.

Knowledge holds what the agent follows in your workspace. It has three tabs: Skills, Agents and Shortcuts.

Skills: reusable methods

A skill tells the agent how your team handles a task, such as a creative review or a budget pacing check. The agent looks up the relevant skills on its own when a request calls for one.

A new workspace starts with a set of skills, such as performance diagnosis, budget pacing, scaling decisions and launch checks. Edit them, delete them, or add your own.

Add a skill

  1. Open Knowledge, then Skills, and choose Add skill.
  2. Give it a Name, a Skill key (lowercase letters, digits and hyphens), and When to use.
  3. Write the Procedure, from 30 to 4,000 characters. Markdown is allowed.
  4. Choose its scope: all Meta accounts or selected ones, all integrations or selected connections. A skill is used only when its scope covers the whole selection of the request.

Saving an edit creates a new version and keeps the previous one.

A skill guides the agent; it grants nothing. The agent reads it as a workspace procedure, below your request and Adrails' own rules. It cannot approve or apply a change.

Agents: specialist roles

Pick a specialist for a conversation: Campaign Manager, Creative Strategist, Analysis Expert or Media Buyer. Administrators can add custom agents, up to 20 per workspace.

Shortcuts: saved requests

A shortcut is a request you send often. Type / in the message box, pick the shortcut, review it and send it. Star a shortcut to keep it at the top.

In a shortcut, {{input}} is replaced by what you type after the command. Without it, what you type is added as an extra instruction.

A new workspace starts with three shortcuts: /us, /daily and /creative.

Sending a shortcut always runs as a task and uses credits: see The agent and credits.

Who can change what

MembersOwners and administrators
Read skills, agents and shortcutsYesYes
Create, edit and star shortcutsYesYes
Create, edit and delete skillsNoYes
Create and edit custom agentsNoYes

A member opening Skills reads: Only an admin can change skills. You can read them, and the agent uses them in your conversations.

Watch for

  • A skill you delete stays deleted: it is not added back.
  • A skill scoped to some accounts is not used when the request also covers other accounts.
