Approvals and undo

How a proposed change becomes an approval, what happens when you approve it, how long it waits, and what can be undone.

Adrails separates preparing a change from applying it. The agent, Priorities, Compare, split tests and automations prepare changes. A person with the right role applies them.

Where approvals appear

Prepared byWhere you approve itButtonsExpires after
The agent, in a conversationIn the conversation, as a cardApply, Reject30 minutes
Priorities, Compare, split tests, automations in approval modePriorities on HomeApprove, Reject24 hours

An expired proposal cannot be applied. Ask again, and it is rebuilt on current data.

What a proposal shows

  • What will change, such as Pause campaign or a new budget.
  • The state before and after.
  • The figures that led to it.

What happens when you approve

  1. Adrails reads the campaign, ad set or ad again on Meta or Google Ads.
  2. If it changed since the proposal was prepared, the action is blocked: Meta changed after this proposal was prepared. The action was blocked and must be reviewed again.
  3. Otherwise the change is sent to the platform.
  4. For a pause, a resume or a budget change, Adrails then measures results 24 hours, 3 days and 7 days after. The outcome appears in Priorities.

When you reject, nothing is created, published or changed.

Safety limits

Changes Adrails prepares stay inside these limits:

  • A budget changes by at most 30% at a time.
  • A daily budget stays at or under 100,000 in the account's currency.
  • Evidence behind a change is at most 24 hours old.
  • A budget increase needs at least one result, and spend of at least one daily budget.
  • Campaigns and ads Adrails creates are created paused.

Undo

Ask the agent to undo a change, for example Undo the pause of the Spring sale campaign. The agent prepares the undo as a proposal, which you approve like any other.

You can undo:

  • a pause,
  • a resume,
  • a budget change,

applied from Adrails on a campaign, ad set or ad, which has not been undone already. There is no time limit. The undo runs only if the platform still holds the state Adrails wrote. If someone changed it since, the undo is refused.

You cannot undo launches, new campaigns or ads, publications, or Google Ads edits. Pause or edit them instead.

History

Changes made from Adrails are listed in the Activity tab of their campaign: what was done, by whom, and its status (Done, Failed, In progress, Undone). Filter by person or by kind of action. Changes made directly in Meta or Google Ads are not listed there.

What you do yourself

What you do by hand in Campaigns is not a proposal. Creating a campaign in the editor, switching an item on or off, archiving or deleting it is applied when you confirm it. It still needs an administrator, and it is refused on Preview.

Watch for

  • Only owners and administrators can approve. A member sees the proposal but cannot apply it.
  • On Preview, nothing can be approved: Preview is read-only.
  • Meta needs the ads_management permission to apply a change. If it is missing, reconnect Meta from Ad accounts.
